This is a response from Johns Post on friday as seen here:

I saw the giant truck you’re referring to at BFC this past Sunday night.  In fact I see it all over town all of time.  The truck comes from churches.  The truck is sent out by people who go to churches people who "have it all together" well let me tell you something that the truck driver doesn’t know.  Church is not for people who have it all together.

Christianity is not this country club we have made it out to be.  And much like happy tree street people at the country club get hella pissed when someone doesn’t keep in the lines, but I will tell you that Christianity, this thing that we are all surrounded and engrossed by thanks to the existence of this private little niche we call SNU.  This whole concept of if you don’t have it together then your not welcome here is utter crap.  and if some people get shaken off of Christianity just by seeing some people who don’t get it, or who get it and struggle with trying to do it right every day and slip up oh so often, but if you are scared away or this causes you to turn your back on Christianity then you have so far missed the point that I don’t even know where to begin to look for you.

This whole Jesus  thing is about people who struggle every day with temptation and who struggle every day to be just a little bit better than the day before and yes sometimes we mess up and yes sometimes we slip and fall, and are hypocritical. Then there are even people who claim to be Christian and yet don’t ascribe to any of these things and to you I pose the question. If a man claims to be a firefighter and then when the time of a fire comes he runs away and hides.  Do you then hate the fire department? Because of this man who claimed to be a firefighter but really wasn’t? Or do you pick up where he failed and save the burning home...even if it is his house, the home of a hypocrite? Or do you then turn your back on being a firefighter as well? because then you are no better than he.

Proud Papa

Tonight i saw something that made me smile.  In fact it made me happy.  A tradition started years ago has been upheld.  Though the tyranny of oppressors may try to put it down, the spirit lives on. The Next Generation has come and the future is bright.  These lads will carry on the torch....
